Last week, Disney Cruises made the announcement about the new Disney Cruise Line that will set sail from the Port of New Orleans in 2020.

12 Seasons Catering of New Orleans had the opportunity to cater the Disney Cruise Launch Event at Generations Hall following this announcement for many of the New Orleans influencers, such as NOLA Moms Blog and Amour Nola, the Port of New Orleans Leadership and City Officials who were involved in bringing Disney to the Big Easy.


Modern lighting filled with bright Disney colors helped to create an exciting and dynamic atmosphere. We were blown away by the ambiance created by Generations Hall and eager to augment the great energy that filled the room.


When you have such a gorgeous venue and an amazing reason for celebration, it didn’t take much for our chefs to get inspired. While guests were mingling and buzzing over the amazing news of Disney Cruise Line coming to the city of New Orleans, they were able to sample some of New Orleans most famous dishes. Guests dined on a Tiana inspired menu of shrimp etouffee, creole gumbo and our traditional red beans and rice. We also spiced up our hor d’oeurves selection with a bit of New Orleans flare, showcasing our BBQ Shrimp and Mini Chicken and Waffles.


Knowing most guests at this outstanding cocktail party would be craving dessert, we thought this New Orleans staple would be a huge delight for all of our guests. Our culinary team put their minds together to bring out the childhood playfulness that can get lost in the professional world with these fun Mickey Mouse shaped beignets that kept the party going and were the talk of the night.
